A Summary of Past Events (Since I Been Gone)
April 6: a completed, "final" draft of my screenplay was submitted to my professors at 8:06 pm, EDT. I say "final" because I plan on noodling around with it after graduation, but I really can't look at it right now without cringing. So I will not. I don't remember if I changed it before or after the last post, but the script is now titled "The Littorals: A Sandy Story." It's marginally better than WASHINGTON AVE., in my professional opinion.
April 13: Film comps started at 4 pm EDT in the basement of the Hill Theater, in the computer lab. To be honest, I don't remember any of it.
April 14: day 2 of film comps. See above.
April 17: orals for Littorals at 11:10, EDT, in the Hill Reading Room. That marks the second time I've ever set foot in the reading room. Was I terrified? Absolutely. Did it have something to do with the fact I accidentally went off my antidepressant for three days? You betcha. Oops.
April 17, evening: Email from Phil at 9:29 pm says I passed orals. Yay!
April 19: Taz emails me to say I passed comps. Yay!
April 20: Kenyon Film Department Film Festival happens. I don't go because I'm in the car going to Pittsburgh to look for an apartment. Oops?
April 21: Austin's thesis film, O Speak of Your Fleeting, Prolonged Decay wins Best Picture at the Tommys. I am also awarded since I produced/production manager-ed it. Still wasn't there because I was in Pittsburgh, looking for an apartment. And then I forgot to tell my mom, and she shaded me on facebook for it. Oops?
April 23: I get a lease approved for an apartment in Pittsburgh! Yay!
April 24 (today): I... revisit this blog? Because I forgot about it? Oops???
What's next: I want to start writing some shorter scenes and little one-offs. I don't know what kind of free time I'll have in Pittsburgh after I move there (if anyone knows of a job out there for a recent liberal arts grad with crazy good interpersonal skills and can use a computer pretty well, HMU), but I want to try different things while I'm out there. Who's to say, really?
